Police: Suspicious person on Hackberry Lane

Police received information about a strange man asking a 9-year-old boy to get into his car Friday afternoon.

According to a police report, the boy was on his front porch on the 1000 block of Hackberry Lane when a man drove slowly past the residence and yelled at the boy to get in his car. The 9-year-old went into his house and the man left the area.

The car was reported as an orange, mid-sized SUV, possibly a Honda Element, or a similar-style vehicle.

The man is described as black, approximately 40, bald, with no facial hair, and wearing a polo-style shirt and a large wrist watch.
