Police: Shots fired on Sherman Ave.

Madison police reported about a half-dozen people called at around 6 p.m. Sunday saying they had heard gunshots around 400 North Ingersoll Street.
Police said people saw a small, white, newer sedan fleeing the area after shots were fired from the car. The car was last seen going westbound on Sherman Avenue from North Ingersoll Street.
The target of the shooting is not known. There have been no reports of injuries or property damage. Multiple shell casings were recovered at the scene.
Police said Wednesday that investigators are seeking citizen help in identifying a suspect in the case. Shots were fired in a residential area with many people home at the time. Anyone with information on the case is urged to contact Madison Area Crime Stoppers at 266-6014.
