Police searching for man who reportedly showed knife, robbed Kwik Trip customer

MADISON, Wis. — Madison Police are searching for the man who robbed a customer in the parking lot of Kwik Trip early Saturday.
It happened in the 4400 block of East Buckeye Road shortly around 12:30 a.m.
Police say a 34-year-old man was walking out of the store when he was approached by another man, who pushed him and grabbed his wallet from his pocket.
They say the two men wrestled over the wallet before the suspect got up, said he had a knife, and got away with the wallet.
Police say the suspect left behind his coat, and they found a knife near the scene, too.
Anyone with information is asked to call Madison Police or Madison-Area Crimestoppers.
