Police search for man after report of shot fired on south side

MADISON, Wis. — Madison police are searching for a man they believe may be involved in a report of a gunshot on the city’s south side Sunday morning.
In a news release, police said officers responded to the 800 block of West Olin Avenue around 8:50 a.m. on a report of a possible gunshot. The caller reported seeing a person exit a small, dark blue Honda or Toyota sedan and run toward Emerson Street.
Police searched the area but did not find a shell casing, weapon or vehicle, the release said.
Police said the man they’re looking for is about 6 feet tall with dreadlocks, who was seen wearing a black leather jacket with green stripes on it.
