Police: Robbers point gun at head of victim in east side park

Armed robbers able to take approximately $10

MADISON, Wis. — Madison police said two armed robbers pointed a gun at the head of a man walking home from work in an east side park late Sunday night.

The incident happened in James Madison Park off Gorham Street around 10:20 p.m. Sunday.

According to police, the victim was approached by the two men, who produced the gun and demanded money.

Police said they were able to take approximately $10 from the victim before he ran away toward the lifeguard shack near the beach.

Police said the robbers are described as two black men who were wearing dark clothes, blue jeans, dark hooded sweatshirts and white masks. Anyone who knows anything about the incident should call Madison police.
