Police respond to multiple calls of shots fired that caused property damage

MADISON, Wis. — Multiple callers reported shots fired Saturday at 4:20 p.m. in the 2800 block of Ashford Lane, according to Madison police.

Officers found several casings and property damage due to the gunfire.

Several of the callers described the parties responsible for exchanging gunfire as four to six African-American males around 20 years of age.

Three officers were kept in the area for the duration of the shift as a deterrent to additional incidents.
