Police: Principal at Wisconsin Rapids school accused of bomb threat
WISCONSIN RAPIDS, Wis. — A principal at a Catholic high school in Wood County is accused of making a bomb threat, according to a news release.
The Wisconsin Rapids Police Department said a company in Arizona reported Wednesday that 67-year-old Paul Klinkhammer threatened to bomb the software company over the phone.
According to the report, Klinkhammer, who is the principal at Assumption High School in Wisconsin Rapids, became frustrated with the customer support phone system and the staff at Person Education Co. That’s when he made the threat.
Wisconsin Rapids police investigated the incident and are requesting the Wood County District Attorney’s office charge Klinkhammer with a bomb scare.
Klinkhammer didn’t make any threats to the school, police said.
