Police: Man’s accidental gunshot strikes neighbor’s house

Mauston man arrested

MAUSTON, Wis. — A Mauston man who accidentally fired a gun in his home also struck his neighbor’s house, according to a release from Mauston police.

Officers were called to the 100 block of Highview Avenue at 3:19 p.m. on Monday for a report of possible shots fired.

Police arrested Gustave A. Medina, 54, on suspicion of recklessly endangering safety and obstructing.
