Police: Man pointed gun near HotelRED manager
Incident happened early Tuesday morning

MADISON, Wis. — The manager of HotelRED near Camp Randall told police a man pointed a gun near him early Tuesday morning.
Police said the manager had gestured to a motorcyclist outside the hotel to stop revving the engine. The manager told police he was afraid the noise would wake up guests.
Police said the middle-aged motorcyclist did not shut off his engine, but revved it more. The manager told police he used an obscene hand gesture at the motorcyclist. That’s when the motorcyclist drew out a black handgun and pointed it in the air, according to police.
The motorcyclist did not fire any shots, said police and he took off along Monroe Street.
