Police: Man Holds Couple At Gunpoint While Leaving Restaurant
Madison police arrested a man on Monday after he allegedly held a couple at gunpoint after they left a south side McDonald’s.
The incident happened just before 10 p.m. in the parking lot of the McDonald’s in the 2400 block of South Park street.
According to police, Lorenzo Brown, 24, of Madison, approached the couple after they left the restaurant, showed a handgun and demanded money. When the couple said all they had was a credit card, police said the gunman told the victims to get into the car and drive to an ATM.
While they were driving, police said the woman jumped out of the car while the man jumped into the back seat and fought with the suspect.
Police arrived and arrested Brown without incident.
