Police look for suspect in armed robbery of southwest side convenience store

A man held up a convenience store on the city’s southwest side late Tuesday night, according to Madison police, and officers are now looking for who might be responsible.
The incident happened at the PDQ in the 3100 block of Maple Grove Drive just before 11 p.m. Tuesday.
According to police, a man armed with a black handgun entered the store, and ordered a clerk stocking the shelves to give him all the money in the cash register.
Police said the clerk opened up the cash register and the man grabbed the till and left with it.
Police are looking for a black man, 5 feet 6 inches tall, who was last seen wearing a black hooded sweatshirt, black pants, white tennis shoes, with a scarf covering much of his face. Anyone who knows anything about this incident is asked to call Madison police.
