Police Investigate East Side Armed Robbery

Cash and a cellphone were taken in an armed robbery late Wednesday inside an apartment on the city’s East Side, according to Madison police.

The incident happened just before midnight on Wednesday in the 2200 block of South Thompson Drive.

According to police, three suspects kicked in the front door of the apartment and demanded money. At least one of the men displayed a handgun.

They left quickly from the apartment with a small amount of cash and a cellphone. The victims weren’t injured.
