Police: Intoxicated man found with elderly man’s stolen bike

An elderly man’s stolen bike was recovered less than a day after it was reported stolen from a Middleton business, police said.
Middleton police said an avid bicyclist reported his bicycle was stolen from the 2500 block of Allen Boulevard on Sunday at 10:15 a.m.
Officers shared descriptions of the bicycle and suspect with other officers, according to an alert. Shortly after midnight the same night, an officer came across an intoxicated man with a bicycle matching the descriptions.
Police said the suspect initially gave a false identity but was eventually identified as 23-year-old Isaias Baeza Reyes of Madison. He was arrested and charged with theft and obstructing an officer, according to the report.
