Police: Fitchburg man admits he took oxycodone before driving
A 40-year-old Fitchburg man has been arrested on a charge of sixth-offense operating while intoxicated, according to Madison police.
Madison police said they arrested Chad Catlin late Friday afternoon after he was swerving his pickup truck on South Park Street and collided with a car driven by a 50-year-old Monticello woman.
Catlin caused minor damage to one of the wheel wells on the woman’s car, police said.
Officers said as they interviewed Catlin, they noticed his speech was slurred, but he did not smell of alcohol.
He admitted to taking oxycodone before getting behind the wheel, police said.
