Janesville police said an erratic driver was pulled over and arrested on suspicion of sixth-offense operating while intoxicated.

An officer spotted the car Wednesday at 4:30 p.m. making a wide turn and nearly striking a curb. The car over-corrected, crossed the centerline and ran over a curb nearly striking a parked car when the officer made a traffic stop, according to police.

The officer said an open can of beer was in the center console and the driver, Randy A. Bluhm, 48, of Janesville, admitted drinking. He also admitted to smoking marijuana 20 minutes before the traffic stop, police said.

Bluhm failed field sobriety tests and a blood sample was taken.

Bluhm was arrested on suspicion of operating after revocation, not having insurance and for having open intoxicants in a vehicle.
