Police drug, gang unit arrests 2 on possession charges

A man and a woman were arrested Friday morning in connection with a drug task force search in Rock County, police said.

As part of an ongoing drug investigation, the Beloit Police Department Drug and Gang Unit searched a residence in the 700 block of Vine Street just before 6 a.m.

Police said 38-year-old Michael D. Weston, of Beloit, was arrested at the residence on multiple charges including being a felon in possession of a firearm, possession of cocaine and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Donna Young, 44, of Beloit, was also arrested on suspicion of possession of drug paraphernalia, according to the report. She was released with a court date.

Weston is being held at the Rock County Jail.
