Police: Driver strikes stopped car, charged with 7th OWI

A 47-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence for a seventh time after a crash on Madison’s east side, police said.
Madison police said officers responded to a report of a rear-end crash at the intersection of North Stoughton Road and Highway 30 Tuesday at 3:43 p.m.
A 32-year-old woman was stopped at a traffic light on Highway 30 waiting to turn north on Stoughton Road when her car was struck from behind by another vehicle, according to the report.
The other driver, John G. Armstrong, of Madison, was arrested on suspicion of seventh-offense operating while intoxicated.
