Police: Dog found after disappearing from locked car

MADISON, Wis. — Madison police said a dog that went missing Saturday night has been found.
In a news release, police said a woman was visiting her friend in the 1200 block of Twinleaf Lane on the city’s far west side Saturday when she noticed her dog was missing.
The owner told police she had locked the car with the 11-year-old lab/pit mix named Honey inside, but when she came out of her friend’s home around 8 p.m. the back door of her car was open and Honey was gone, the release said.
Honey has since been found and reunited with her owners, MPD Lt. Anthony Bitterman said early Sunday afternoon.
