‘Play me some mountain music’: Alabama to kick off Wisconsin State Fair

MILWAUKEE — If you’re gonna play in Texas, you gotta have a fiddle in the band. But what if you’re gonna play in Wisconsin?

That question will be answered at the State Fair this summer.

The legendary band Alabama, famous for country music hits like “Mountain Music” and “Dixieland Delight,” will kick off the opening night of the fair on August 3. Formed in Alabama in 1969, the band has sold over 75 million records.

Joining Alabama will be pop and country outfit Exile, known for their hit songs “Kiss You All Over” and “Give Me One More Chance.”

The show starts at 7:30 p.m. at the State Fair Main Stage. Tickets start at $65, and all seating is reserved.

Tickets go on sale Jan. 27. You can find more ticket information by clicking here.
