‘Play me some mountain music’: Alabama to kick off Wisconsin State Fair
MILWAUKEE — If you’re gonna play in Texas, you gotta have a fiddle in the band. But what if you’re gonna play in Wisconsin?
That question will be answered at the State Fair this summer.
The legendary band Alabama, famous for country music hits like “Mountain Music” and “Dixieland Delight,” will kick off the opening night of the fair on August 3. Formed in Alabama in 1969, the band has sold over 75 million records.
We’re down-right ecstatic to announce @TheAlabamaBand with @exileofficial will kick off 11-nights of incredible acts at the State Fair Main Stage, presented by @paysbig on Thursday, Aug. 3!

Joining Alabama will be pop and country outfit Exile, known for their hit songs “Kiss You All Over” and “Give Me One More Chance.”
The show starts at 7:30 p.m. at the State Fair Main Stage. Tickets start at $65, and all seating is reserved.
