Pizza truck visits Capitol to support Wisconsin Fair Maps Coalition

MADISON, Wis. — A pizza truck visited state lawmakers at the Capitol today to support the Wisconsin Fair Maps Coalition initiative. Their message? Everybody loves pizza, but nobody loves garbage pizza.

Gerry’s Partisan Pizza truck delivered the pizza to legislators to emphasize what they are calling the garbage districting maps proposed by Republican legislators.

The Wisconsin Fair Maps Coalition partnered with Represent Us for the demonstration.

“Our government is no longer responsive to the people. It’s not responsive to republicans, it’s not responsive to independents, it’s not responsible to Democrats because legislators up there in the Capitol know they’re going to get re-elected if they can survive a partisan primary,” Sachin Chheda, the chair of the Wisconsin Fair Maps Coalition, said.

Republicans said the maps they drew are fair.

The truck is visiting Appleton on Tuesday.
