Phillip Noel Gork

Phillip Gork, age 67 of Wisconsin Dells, Wisconsin died Monday, January 7, 2013 at his residence.

A Memorial Gathering will be held on Friday, January 11, 2013 at 2:00 P.M. at the Picha Funeral Home in Lake Delton, Wisconsin. Visitation will be held from 12:00 Noon until the time of the service at 2:00P.M. Military rites will be provided by the Eagles Nest Marine Corps Detachment of Sauk County.

Phillip was born November 1, 1945 in Chicago, Illinois the son of Phillip and Wanda (Garneski) Gork. In May of 1966 he enlisted in the United States Marine Corp. and was honorably discharged in May of 1968 at the rank of lance corporal. In September of 1968 he married Linda Rolseth in Chicago. He had worked at General Motors for over 30 years. For the past 6 years he has lived in the Dells area after retirement. Phillip was a very patriotic person and proud of his marine heritage, also being a charter member of the Eagles Nest Marine Corps Detachment of Sauk County. He was instrumental in establishing scholarships at the Wisconsin Dells High School. Phillip loved his pug dog, Otis, boating on the Wisconsin River and he stayed busy as the groundskeeper at the Lake of the Dells complex.

Phillip is survived by his wife, Linda; son, Phillip (Angie) Gork of Woodbury, MN. He was preceded in death by his parents; and sisters, Phyllis and Myrna.
