In a news release, the Beaver Dam Police Department said it got a call just before 11:10 a.m. Thursday about a stolen vehicle in the 100 block of Knaup Drive on the city’s north side. An officer saw the vehicle a short time later nearby on Industrial Drive, and a chase ensued.
Police said the driver led them onto U.S. Highway 151 to County Highway G and then back into the city where the chase ended. Officers arrested the driver on charges from the chase and two warrants out of Dane County.
The release did not name the driver.
Thursday’s chase is the third to happen in the Beaver Dam area in the past week. Dodge County deputies chased a man who they said was driving recklessly on State Highway 33 east of the city early Saturday morning; that chase ended on Highway 151 near the interchange with Highway 33.
