Peralta wins 12th as Brewers top Mets 5-2

Wily Peralta earned his team-leading 12th win, and Mark Reynolds homered in the Milwaukee Brewers’ 5-2 victory over the New York Mets on Saturday night.

Jonathan Lucroy, Ryan Braun and Khris Davis added run-scoring hits for NL Central Division-leading Milwaukee. Peralta (12-6) pitched 5 2/3 innings, giving up six hits and two runs. He walked three batters and struck out two.

Four relievers held the Mets scoreless the rest of the way. Francisco Rodriguez, who blew a save and took the loss against the Mets on Friday night, recorded his 30th save in 34 chances.

Curtis Granderson had a home run and a double for the Mets. Chris Young added two doubles and reached base three times.

Jonathon Niese (5-6) took the loss, giving up five hits and three runs in five innings. He walked two batters and struck out four.
