Patriots RB, former Badger James White announces retirement

FOXBOROUGH, Mass. — After eight seasons in the NFL, James White has announced he is retiring.

The former Badger was drafted in the fourth round in 2014 by the New England Patriots and spent his entire career there, winning three Super Bowls.

White was a four-time team captain and racked up more than 4,500 total yards and 36 touchdowns.

“New England will be in my heart forever,” he tweeted Thursday morning. “Thank you for unwavering support over the years. I am forever grateful. This chapter has been one that I will cherish. I look forward to what is next.”
