Patrick Robert Gerberding

EVANSVILLE-Patrick Robert Gerberding, age 2, of Evansville, passed away on Thursday, June 28, 2012. He was born in Madison on March 19, 2010, and through his birth parent’s brave and courageous decision to make an adoption plan for him, he became the beloved son of Timothy and Stefanie (Ojibway) Gerberding on March 29, 2010.
Patrick was well known for his bright smile and infectious giggle. He loved to sing with his mom and snuggle and watch football with his “Dod”. Patrick made friends easily and formed a special bond with every person he knew.
Patrick is survived by his parents, Tim and Stefanie and little brother, Lucas, all of Evansville; grandparents, Richard and Suzanne Gerberding of Spooner and Jill Recore-Ojibway of Ladysmith; great-grandparents, Leonard Recore of Ladysmith and Catherine Gerberding of Ladysmith; aunts, Amy Ojibway (Adam Lindberg) of New Hope, Minn., and Emily (Jake) Lehman of Minong; uncles, Adam Ojibway of Springbrook, Evan Ojibway of Ladysmith, and David Gerberding of Somerset; and cousins, Elliot and Jude Lindberg and Sage and Ty Lehman. He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Steven Ojibway.
A Memorial Service for Patrick will be held at GUNDERSON FITCHBURG FUNERAL HOME, 2950 Chapel Valley Road, Fitchburg, WI, at 8 p.m. on Tuesday, July 3, 2010 with Reverend Rodney Hank presiding. Visitation will be held at the funeral home from 5 p.m. until the time of service on Tuesday.
The family wishes to extend a special thank-you to Dr. Alison Craig of GHC, the staff at American Family Children’s Hospital, Patrick’s home health nurses, and to all the friends and family who have proudly shared Patrick’s life.
