Patrick James “Pat” Farrell

MADISON- Patrick James “Pat” Farrell, age 54, of Madison, passed away on Friday, Jan. 25, 2013, unexpectedly at his home. He was born on Jan. 27, 1958, in Green Bay, the son of Douglas Farrell and Mary Colwell. Pat married Lisa Dodge on Sept. 26, 2009 in Cambridge. He loved his family and was very involved in their lives. He cherished his three girls and spending time with them. He loved playing basketball with his friends and had a wonderful sense of humor. Pat was very focused on making a positive difference in people’s lives, living by the quote of one of his favorite authors, Randy Pausch, “experience is often the most valuable thing you have to offer.” He was one of the founding and active members of Celebrate Recovery at Door Creek Church. He loved traveling and just recently visited Hawaii with his wife.
Pat is survived by his wife, Lisa; daughters, Megan Farrell, Kaitlyn (Luke) Zick and Erin Farrell; step-children, Travis (Stacey) Dodge and Jenny (Rich) van Doorn; sisters, Katie (Dan) Dexter, Susan Grahek and Sam Wolters; step-mother, Mary Maiorano; dog Mia and his grandpuppies. He was preceded in death by parents.
A memorial service will be held at DOOR CREEK CHURCH, at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, Jan. 29, 2013, with Pastor Bob Goodsell officiating. Visitation will be at the church from 4 p.m. until 7 p.m. on Monday, Jan. 28, 2013, and from 10 a.m. until the time of the service on Tuesday.
