Parked car damaged by gunfire

The 23-year-old owner of a car struck by several bullets Sunday morning told police he didn’t know why anyone would want to damage his car.

Police said the shooting in the 2300 block of Columbus Lane occurred sometime early Sunday but it wasn’t reported until Sunday afternoon.

Police said bullets struck a door and shattered a window, and shell casings were found near the car.

Officers canvassed the area and found numerous people who said they heard the shots sometime between 3-4 a.m.
