Parisi names new Alliant Energy Center director

MADISON, Wis. — Just over six months after the former executive director of the Alliant Energy Center resigned, Dane County Executive Joe Parisi on Wednesday named a new director for the facility.
Wednesday afternoon, Parisi announced Adam Heffron as the center’s next director, pending approval by the county board. Heffron has worked in the hospitality and entertainment industry for nearly three decades, including as the director of event services for the Wisconsin State Fair and the director of facilities and operations to produce Summerfest, Parisi’s office said in a news release.
“I am excited to work with Adam Heffron as the new Director of Dane County’s Alliant Energy Center,” Parisi said in the release. “Adam’s nearly 30 years of experience as a venue and operations builder, event leader, and destination sales executive make him the ideal candidate for this unique role in overseeing the future of the Alliant Energy Center campus.”

If confirmed, Heffron would replace Brent Kyzer-McHenry, who resigned in January for personal reasons. Kevin Connors was picked to lead the center in the interim.
