Packers lineman T.J. Lang wants to stay put

Who stays? Who goes? Those are questions that the Packers’ front office will have to answer this offseason.

One of the team’s potential free agents is offensive lineman T.J. Lang.

Lang is a favorite among fans and his teammates, but he hurt his foot in the NFC Championship Game and will have hip surgery during the offseason.

Lang has spent his entire eight-year career in Green Bay, and he doesn’t want to play anywhere else.

“You know, I’ve raised my children here. I’ve got a family. I just love my brothers here — some of my best friends on this team, love the city — just love putting on that helmet every weekend,” Lang said after cleaning out his locker. “It’s an honor to represent this team so, yeah, it’s definitely something that, you know, it’s not up to me. It’s not my call but yeah, I think everybody here knows that this is where, this is where my home is and this is where I want to stay.”

Other notable Packers free agents include linebackers Julius Peppers and Nick Perry, running back Eddie Lacy, defensive back Micah Hyde and tight end Jared Cook.
