Packers draft former Badger linebacker Biegel

PHILADELPHIA — Green Bay stayed in-state to open the fourth round of the NFL draft Saturday, taking Wisconsin linebacker Vince Biegel. He comes off a season shortened by a broken foot , but was a standout for the Badgers before getting hurt .
Biegel, who was part of the winningest senior class in Badger football history, matched a school record by playing in 54 games, 40 of which he started in, according to his official Badgers player biography.
During his career with the Badgers, Biegel tallied 191 tackles, five pass breakups and three fumbles.
The Wisconsin Rapids native graduated from Wisconsin in December with a degree in life sciences communication.
