Deputies: Crash starts when woman fails to negotiate curve

TOWN OF BELMONT, Wis. — A woman suspected of driving drunk crashed her vehicle after sending it airborne over a fence, according to a release from the Lafayette County Sheriff’s Office.
Deputies said Megan A. Morshead, 20, of Platteville, was driving east on County Road XX in the town of Belmont at about 3:30 a.m. Friday when she failed to negotiate a curve.
The report states she traveled into the north ditch, over-corrected and left the south side of the road, went airborne over a fence and overturned.
