Out-of-state teen arrested with 2 loaded handguns in car, PD says

MADISON, Wis. — An out-of-state teen was arrested Saturday afternoon on Madison’s west side with two loaded firearms, police said.
Madison police said an officer pulled over a car on suspicion of speeding at 3 p.m. on Raymond Road at Cameron Drive.
Edward L. Curtis, 18, of Dolton, Illinois, was a passenger in the car, and the guns were found in his backpack, according to the report.
Curtis told police the guns were for protection.
Curtis was arrested on suspicion of carrying a concealed weapon and for a probation violation.
