Oregon sports bar ‘total loss’ after fire, officials say
Firefighters are calling an Oregon sports bar a total loss after a fire broke out Monday afternoon.
Crews responded to 126 Braun Road, which is Hack’s Sports Page Bar, after dispatch got reports of a structure fire at 3:10 p.m.
The business was open at the time of the fire, but no one was injured, according to a release.
Firefighters on scene said the fire was out in about an hour, but they are still investigating a cause.
Employees told News 3 they smelled smoke when they arrived for a shift change at 3 p.m. By the time firefighters arrived, the roof was already engulfed in flames.
Officials said the structure is valued at $500,000, and is a complete loss.
Crews from Oregon, Brooklyn, Belleville, Fitchburg, McFarland, Stoughton, Blooming Grove, Monona, Verona and the town of Madison responded to the scene.
Online real estate listings show the business and building are for sale for $750,000.
