One dead following crash in Town of Oregon

TOWN OF OREGON, Wis.– One person is dead and one is facing life-threatening injuries after a two-vehicle crash in the Town of Oregon.
According to the Dane County Sheriff’s Office, the crash happened just before 4 p.m. on Saturday at the intersection of Rome Corners and County Highway MM.
Officials say the driver of a black sedan was traveling west on Rome Corners and did not stop at a stop sign at the intersection, leading to the collision with a white truck.
The driver of the black sedan was pronounced dead at the scene.
The driver of the white truck was ejected through the passenger side door and was transported to a local hospital for life-threatening injuries.
Alcohol may have been a factor in the crash, according to the Dane County Sheriff’s Office.
The identities of the drivers have not been released.
