Oklahoma ends Wisconsin’s regional run
Badgers end season 43-14
Norman, OK — The #1 Oklahoma softball team survived a Sunday surge from Wisconsin to advance to the NCAA Super Regionals.
Wisconsin had to beat Oklahoma twice to advance, and they almost pulled it off.
OU beat the Badgers 2-0 in the winner-take-all game. After a sacrifice fly gave the Sooners a 1-0 lead, Grace Green hit a solo homer to give the home team some breathing room. G Juarez tallied eight strikeouts to earn the complete game victory.
The Badgers managed just four hits.
Wisconsin beat the Sooners 2-1 in the first game of the day, snapping Oklahoma’s NCAA-record 41-game winning streak.
Wisconsin’s season ends at 43-14. This was their program-record third straight NCAA appearance.
