Officials: Man dumps heroin, needle from car near school
24-year-old arrested on multiple charges stemming from short pursuit

BOSCOBEL, Wis. — A Boscobel man was arrested after he reportedly led officers on a chase and dumped drugs near a school.
The Grant County Sheriff’s Office said 24-year-old Andrew Adams attempted to elude an officer for a short distance Tuesday when he didn’t stop for a deputy at 4:05 p.m.
After Adams stopped, K-9 A-Rod alerted to the odor of narcotics in the vehicle, the sheriff’s office said.
The report said the investigation led officials to a bag of heroin and a hypodermic needle near the Boscobel Elementary School during the short pursuit. Drug paraphernalia was also found in the car.
Adams was arrested on suspicion of second-offense operating while intoxicated with a controlled substance, possession of heroin, possession of drug paraphernalia, bail jumping and operating after suspension.
