A Madison police officer injured a finger trying to arrest a man who was reportedly causing a disturbance.

Police said they were called to 2800 East Washington Avenue around 3 p.m. on Saturday for a report of a man in front of a business and shouting for no apparent reason. They arrived and found a man wearing a pink shirt and cowboy hat, which matched a description of the man in front of the business.

Officers said Bradley A. Bartell, 63, continued walking to a parked RV and ignored orders to stay away from the RV. Bartell went into the RV, started reaching for items and refused to come out, police said

Bartell was taken into custody after a struggle in the doorway of the RV in which an officer injured a finger. He was taken to an emergency room for treatment.

Bartell was arrested on suspicion of felony resisting an officer and disorderly conduct.
