Norman L. Buckley, age 92, of Janesville, died on Thursday, March 10, 2016, at Rock Haven Nursing Home. He was born in Indiana on April 27, 1923, the son of Leslie and Viola (Patterson) Buckley. He served in the U.S. Army, the 10th Mountain Division during WWII from 1943 to 1947. Norman married Violet Trueblood in Lowell, IN on Sept. 4, 1948. He had been employed by Libby McNeile & Libby as an Industrial Engineer. He was a member of Cargill United Methodist Church and was a past member of the Jaycees, and the Boy Scout Council.

Norman is survived by his wife, Violet Buckley; daughter, Debra Buckley Fugate of Milwaukie, OR; son, David (Janet) Buckley of Janesville; deceased son, Daniel’s life partner, Judy Wellenkotter; grandchildren: Jason (Abby) Buckley, Joshua (Tawnya) Buckley, Sean Fugate and Bre’Ann (Jon) Faville; many other extended family and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, and son, Daniel Buckley.
