Norma Bothum

Stoughton- Norma V. Bothum, age 91, passed away on Wednesday, May 23, 2012 at Agrace Hospicecare in Fitchburg. She was born in Stoughton on February 19, 1921, a daughter of Christ and Gurena (Gullickson) Quam. In 1945, she was united in marriage to Raymond Bothum. Together, they farmed in the Stoughton and Edgerton areas. Norma was a hardworking woman, and a loving mother and grandmother. She loved gardening and crocheting, making and giving many afghans, doilies, baby things, and sweaters for her grand and great grandchildren.

She is survived by 5 children, Kathy (Dick) Baer, Linda Hanson, Ron (Debbie) Bothum, Mary (Bob) Goggin, and John (Sara) Bothum; 12 grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband Raymond in 1999; son-in-law, John Hanson; brothers, Julian, Eldon, Claire, Glen and Odin Quam; and by a sister, Gladys Little.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00pm on Tuesday May 29, 2012 at Christ Lutheran Church, 700 County Hwy., Stoughton with the Rev. Paula Geister-Jones officiating. Burial will follow at Lutheran Cemetery South in Stoughton. The family will greet friends at church on Tuesday from noon until the time of service at 2:00pm. Special thanks to the staff at St. Mary’s Hospital and Agrace Hospicecare for their loving care. Memorials may be made to Christ Lutheran Church, Agrace HospiceCare, or St. Mary’s Hospital.
