No photo ID needed for Tuesday’s election

Who knows what going to the polls will look like after the courts eventually sift through various challenges to the voter suppression laws Republicans are so committed to implementing. But here’s all you need to know about Tuesday’s primary election – you do NOT need a photo id.
We’ll not risk confusing you even a little by explaining where voter ID legislation currently stands. We can do that later. Just know that for this election you do not have to show identification if you are a registered voter.
We only wish turnout was going to be so high Tuesday that the confusion risk was bigger than it is. Let’s just say indications are you won’t have to worry about long lines. But you also don’t have to worry about having a photo ID, so don’t.
