New poll to give sense of how Wisconsin voters may vote in November election

We’ll soon have a sense of how Wisconsin voters will cast their ballots in the November election. The latest Marquette Law School poll on the race for governor and U.S. Senate will be released Wednesday afternoon.

The poll comes one week after Wisconsin’s primary election when high-profile races between Tony Evers and Gov. Scott Walker, and Leah Vukmir and Sen. Tammy Baldwin were set. We should learn today which candidates Wisconsin voters are favoring.

An NBC News poll before the primaries showed Governor Walker trailing in a hypothetical match-up with his opponent, former State Superintendent of Schools, Tony Evers. Governor Walker has said he even expects to be losing in the polls right now.

We’ll find out if that’s the case when the Marquette Poll is released around noon. The report will also show how voters feel about state issues like criminal justice reform and Foxconn.

The survey also asked voters about federal issues like tariffs and the Mueller investigation.

There’s also a social experiment question that’s been included in the poll for years. It asks how people are talking about politics with family members and friends and if those discussions have put a strain on those relationships.
