New Lisbon Edges Belmont

New Lisbon 1 Belmont 0 Final

BOSCOBEL, Wis. — After a spring full of inclimate weather, Belmont and New Lisbon played their Division Four Sectional Final on Sunday. Their game, originally scheduled for Thursday in Boscobel, was posponed to Sunday due to weather. Third ranked New Lisbon took down second ranked Belmont 1-0. 

The Rockets’ Samantha Olson had an RBI single in the 3rd inning to give New Lisbon a 1-0 lead. Michaela Vinz made sure that would be all the run support she needed as she was dominant in the circle for New Lisbon. 

Belmont had a chance to tie it in the 6th when Emma Eastlick’s single to center sent a Belmont base runner rounding third. Olson was there to make the tag for the Rockets.
