New Glarus man stopped for expired vehicle registration faces 6th OWI

NEW GLARUS, Wis. — A new Glarus man faces his sixth drunken-driving charge after he was stopped Tuesday night for on expired vehicle registration, according to a release.
Deputies stopped 57-year-old Mark A. Steiner, of New Glarus, just after 6 p.m. on Highway 69 near Highway 39 for an expired registration, officials said.
As part of the investigation during the stop, Steiner was arrested on a tentative charge of sixth-offense operating while impaired. He was also cited for non-registration of an auto, operating a motor vehicle without insurance and open intoxicants in a motor vehicle.
