Nancy M. Gorsche

Nancy M. Gorsche, age 47, passed away surrounded by her family on Sun. July 9, 2017 at her sister’s home in Merrimac after a valiant battle with lung cancer.

She was born in Oak Park, Il on Dec. 2, 1969 to the late Kenneth and Jean (Tocheck) Steinbacher. She attended Downers Grove North High School graduating in 1988. Nancy married Francis J. “Joe” Gorsche on May 24, 2003. Nancy worked at Maplewood Nursing Home in Sauk City for the last 6 years; a career she thoroughly enjoyed. She enjoyed annual camping trips with family to Devil’s Lake, fishing, flowers and bird watching.

Nancy is survived by her husband, Joe; 4 siblings, Tom Steinbacher, Sue (Don Haas) Steinbacher, Ronnie (Tony) Steinbacher, Kenny Steinbacher; she is further survived by many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, David and nephew Sam.

Nancy’s family would like to express their sincerest graditude to Agrace for their outstanding care and their friends and co-workers of Maplewood Sauk Prairie.

A Mass will be held in Nancy’s honor on Friday, July 14th at 11:00 am at Durward’s Glen W.11876 McLeisch Rd., Baraboo, WI 59313. Father Christopher Padilla a priest whom Nancy was quite fond of will be celebrating her mass. A gathering for friends and family will immediately follow at her sister’s home N4876 Messer Rd. Merrimac WI 53561.
