MPD: Three injured after Northport Drive stabbing
MADISON, Wis. — Madison police said one person is in custody following a stabbing Thursday night in the 1700 block of Northport Drive.
Theadosia Edmond, 35, was arrested for attempted homicide after stabbing two people at the Northport Apartments, police said.
Officers were called to the apartment at 11:47 p.m .and found three injured people and were told that another had fled.
Police said a 15-year-old boy was also hurt, however his injuries were considered minor.
One person was severely injured and taken to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries, police said. The second victim was treated at the scene.
Police said Edmond and the man who was taken to a hospital had been dating and they were fighting before the incident happened.
According to a release, witnesses saw the man punching Edmond and she stabbed him multiple times.
Police said several people suffered minor injuries as they intervened to try to stop the violence.
The incident is still under investigation.
