MPD: Suspicious man follows girl, tries to talk to her

Madison police are looking for a suspicious man who followed a young girl on South Park Street Monday night, according to a release.

Police responded to the 1900 block of South Park Street around 5:30 p.m. for a report of a suspicious man following a young girl near Buick Street, officials said.

The man tried to talk with the girl before she fled to a safe location and called for help, according to the release.

The man was white and had bright blue eyes, pale skin and a deep voice. He was wearing a tan T-shirt and was driving a medium-sized, white pickup truck with rust around the front wheel wells.
