MPD says more than 30 vehicles damaged in string of break-ins

MADISON, Wis. — Madison police say they’re investigating a string of car break-ins early Monday morning near Stoughton Road.

Police say more than 30 vehicles were damaged in the area of the 2600 block of South Stoughton Road, near the Edna Taylor Conservation Park.

At around 5:30 a.m. Monday, someone living in the area found two teenagers inside his car before he chased them off. Police described one of the teens as wearing a gray hoodie with a red backpack, and the other as wearing a black hoodie. Both were wearing black face masks. Police did not release any additional details about the suspects.

Police are continuing to investigate the break-ins.
