MPD: Police search for suspect following possible shots fired

MADISON, Wis. — Madison police are at attempting to locate a suspect after a shots fired incident on the 3500 block of East Washington Avenue Tuesday morning.

Officers say around 1:20 a.m., shots were heard near Visions Night Club, while a black man who appeared to hold a gun was seen running from the area.

Shortly afterward, a house was broken into on the 3500 block of Ridgeway Avenue.

Police said the suspect may have broken into the house, and attempted to make contact with him.

Several hours after creating a perimeter around the house, officers suspended their efforts.

The incident is still under investigation.
