Officers were called to a house around 1:30 a.m. Thursday. A woman ran away from her home after her roommate, a 52-year-old man, produced a gun and fired out the back porch.

The woman was able to get to a nearby shopping plaza to call 911. She is in her 70s and the owner of the home where the standoff took place. She told police her roommate was armed with a long gun, which police believed to be a shotgun. She also said her roommate had been drinking.

Police said the first shot did not appear to cause any injuries or damage.
