MPD: 4 women arrested after fight involving knife, pepper spray, bottle

Four Madison women were arrested after a street fight Sunday night that involved numerous weapons, according to a release from Madison police.

Officers were called to the 2100 block of Leland Drive at 7:30 p.m. on reports of a melee that started with two women exchanging punches. Witnesses said others joined in while a couple dozen others watched.

Police said one woman pulled a knife, another discharged pepper spray, and someone threw a bottle, causing a small cut to one person. Officers said they found hair, broken glass and other items in the road.

Antonisha R. Branch, 18, and Daccari M. Ivy, 21, were arrested on suspicion of battery. Tamara Y. Jackson, 39, and Olivia D. Thompson, 30, were arrested on suspicion of disorderly conduct.
